Terms of Use and Service
Welcome! By using this site and our services, you agree to the following terms. If you don’t agree, please do not use our website or resources.
1. Nature of Our Initiative
-
Solera Behavioral Health is a peer support and educational project founded and operated by a 14‑year‑old.
-
We are not licensed, do not operate as an LLC, and are not a professional mental health provider.
-
This is a youth-led volunteer effort, overseen by licensed professionals, but run day-to-day by volunteers who receive basic mental health awareness training.
2. No Professional Services
-
We are not qualified to diagnose, treat, or provide therapy.
-
All volunteers and resources are for peer support and education only—not professional mental health services.
-
If professional help is needed, please contact a licensed provider or local crisis line.
3. Use in Legal Contexts
-
We may offer Alternative Behavioral Reports (ABRs) that can be submitted with legal documentation, but:
-
We do not attend court, do not testify, and never participate in jury trials.
-
Any use of our materials in court is at the user’s and/or their attorney’s discretion.
-
4. Legal Compliance in Indiana
-
Indiana law prohibits operating residential mental health facilities without a license law. justia.com+1reddit.com+1.
-
We operate solely as an online peer support and awareness platform, not a residential or clinical facility.
-
At Solera Behavioral Health, any disputes that may arise related to our services or website will be handled through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods such as non-binding mediation or arbitration, rather than through a court or jury trial. This means that we do not attend court, do not testify, and do not participate in any legal proceedings before a judge or jury. ADR offers a private, informal way to address concerns, and any decisions made are non-binding, meaning they are not legally enforceable unless both parties agree. This approach aligns with Indiana’s laws supporting voluntary dispute resolution.
-
Our volunteers are not certified professionals, but trained peers—a role legally distinct from licensed clinical practitioners.
5. No Guarantees or Warranties
-
Our services are offered “as-is”, with no promises of accuracy, completeness, quality, or efficacy.
-
We provide no guarantees regarding outcomes.
6. Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
-
This project is not equipped to handle crises or emergencies.
-
For immediate help, please call 911 or dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
7. User Conduct
By using our platform, you agree to:
-
Acknowledge that Solera is not a substitute for professional care.
-
Seek licensed professional help when necessary.
-
Use respectful communication within our community.
